Retirement Party INVITATION

There once was a girl named Jane

Who thought all retirement parties were lame

But how could we resist?

Even though she’ll be pissed,

We’re giving her one just the same.

50th birthday to an animal activist

There is no creature too small

For Sarah’s protection

Even Itty bitty bugs

Have her affection.

No squishing or squashing,

Just leave them in peace!

Only our Sarah

Would catch and release!

Eulogy

Bill was talented, brilliant

And especially wise

As he believed women -

The world’s greatest prize.

More thoughtful, compassionate

Much smarter than men

Mastering life, love and work

Again and again.

REHEARSAL DINNER TOAST TO BRIDE AND GROOM

In this case, it’s clear.

Yes, they met at work

And after many texts

And sideways glances

They decided to go out

And take their chances.

How did we get here

On this fair night?

A little history

Will make it right.

Who said not to fish?

Off that company pier?

Well they were wrong

65th Birthday Toast

Is the challenge the fish?

Or the love of the land?

Life doesn’t get much better

Than casting afar

Unless, of course,

You’re also smoking a cigar.

 A birthday

Is a fine day

Any day you’re alive

But never so grand as

When you reach sixty five!

Standing in a river

A rod in your hand
